WOOT WOOT! Welcome to Prepare for Takeoff Flyball Club’s Official Website!
We are a group of dog lovers with a passion…maybe addiction, for the sport of Flyball! We are based in Fredericton / Oromocto, New Brunswick.
Prepare for Takeoff was established in 2006. We came from humble beginnings, where the goal was to simply finish a race clean, then it changed to breaking 24 seconds and then eventually to having a team that could compete in Division 1.
Over the last number of years we have achieved a number of things as a team. In 2013, we were the first team in our region to break into the 15's and our club personal best time stands at 15.336 seconds. We were the Region 10 Regular Champions for 2017-2018, 2016-2017, 2015-2016, 2014-2015 and 2012-2013. We were also the Region 10 2011-2012 Multi-Breed Champions and hold the Regional Multi-Breed Speed Record at 16.830 seconds.
Our team consists of 5 families and 15 dogs. We place an emphasis on teamwork, healthy competition and the health and well being of our beloved pets. Our dogs are family pets first and athletes second. Prepare for Takeoff’s goals are to compete at the highest level possible, have each dog give 110% in the lanes, to deepen the bond between handlers and dogs, improve our training techniques and promote the sport of Flyball.
We travel to many tournaments throughout the year in our Region that covers the Maritimes (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia & Prince Edward Island). We have also competed in numerous tournaments in the Eastern US.
