Daniel has competed in various sports his entire life. He and his wife Holly, got together in August 2001, but it was in 2004 that he found the breed that would change their lives: Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers. They got Trout, their first dog together, that summer.
After Trout (2004-2016), they added Raine to the family in 2006 and that is when they became interested in breeding. Daniel & Holly are CKC registered breeders; under the kennel name “Redbrook”. Rev (2008-2018) became part of their pack in 2008, they kept a puppy from Raine’s “B” litter – Brooke, in November 2009. Their 2 non-Toller's are a crazy little border/staffy named Feist who became part of the pack in April 2012 and a sweet border/whippet named Fitz who joined their family in December 2016. Their latest addition is another Toller names Rowdy who joined their family in May 2018. Rowdy is one of Rev's daughter's from his last litter.
Holly swears that it is Daniel’s fault that they are playing Flyball. Daniel heard about a local tournament and told Holly about it, they went to watch and were immediately hooked. Holly signed Trout up for classes that day and the rest is history. Even though it was supposed to be “Holly’s thing”, Daniel started to become more and more involved and is now just as hooked as Holly is.
Holly and Daniel were married on August 5, 2006 and have two amazing sons – Braxton Daniel Wayne (May 20, 2010) and Corbin Kenneth Gerald (October 15, 2014).
Daniel is an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoys spending time relaxing at the camp that he and Holly own on Peltoma Lake.
